Overcoming the fear of death

Younger people may not think about death a great deal, other than when someone close to them dies, but as people travel through their adult life, the fact that life is terminal and will end becomes more noticeable, and as people get older or have a scrape with illness or feel their life is threatened they can get to consider it a great deal more. Some of course then take out insurance and join some church or other.

Death itself is for most people nowhere near as bad as the threat or fear of death, which is mostly about the fear of the unknown.

Likewise the sadness when a person dies, is made worse where people have no faith, or are part of a faith where certainty in relation to a happy existence and rebirth are not automatic. Older religions and early Christianity believed in reincarnation for all. The situation was changed so that people might be made afraid of dying, or of not following the rules set down by the leaders.

The positive way to overcome the fear of death, and the sadness or concern about those who are dear to you dieing, is to experience yourself past life regressions, where you get to see not only some of your past lives, but also the gaps between lives and to understand that everyone will go to the pleasant resting place whatever you call it, and there are no gates, let alone any group having control of them. That you and everyone you know will be born again in to many more lives, and that you will get over time many more times to relate to them. You want to get as much out of this life as you are able, to get as many experiences and learn as much as you can, but never to be sad that one day you will leave your shell behind and move on.
