Age and witchcraft

As a solitary witch apprentice

You can become an apprentice witch at any age, but younger people will not be able to mix with older people or learn some of the skills. This is not because we do not think you should be able to, but because the law puts limits on what activities people of different ages are allowed to take part in.

General age limits to young covens

As long as there are no adult members, or maybe they are under 23, then you may be able to run a full coven for people who are at least 13. You will find to make this practical you have to hold some sessions with just your older members and invited senior witches, and then use your older members in a separate session to teach skills to younger members. As there is no male members of our covens, most people will not object to younger members meeting within the group, but it still may not be wise to refer to it as a witchcraft group.

Covens generally

Full membership to most adult covens is restricted to those over 18 as is normally membership of closed groups across traditions. This is common across all traditions due to legal risks for people running groups.
