Handling Depression

 

Depression.

A recent survey of teenagers in Britain showed that 50% of girls were suffering from clinical depression, and throughout life a very high percentage of women at any time are seriously depressed. Many then snack to ease the feeling of depression, which results in obesity which makes them feel worse and is also responsible for a great deal of ill health. Much of what is classed as stress is also a form of depression.

Prevention

Preventing depression involves being a part of a close group, support, a purpose in life, confidence, and a knowledge at all times that you are in control of your own life. Some may say also that you have to constantly keep an eye on the light at the end of the tunnel so that it can never go out.

Curing depression.

If a person slips into depression or is introduced while depressed, they need a considerable amount of care, attention, understanding and a plan put in place to help them overcome it. Once overcome then prevention is extremely important or they will find it re-occurs.

We would say that we put far more energy than any other group into handling depression and making sure that it cannot harm any Fire Angel.
