Witchcraft is a religion and traditional witchcraft a specific type of religion. Wicca is completely different although in part created from several traditional paths.
All traditional witches of all paths believe in a single god(ess), and that all the different religions are just looking at different faces of the same entity. We have no Satan character, and see this as a fictional part of the Christian and Jewish system only. Evil we see as what men choose to do, and most often gangs or groups of men, where individual sense gets left behind.
We can choose which faces of god we choose to communicate with, and as a female order have chose a collection of female faces of the god, which can most relate to us, and our missions. So to some outside of witchcraft we may look like a goddess order, but the god(ess) we serve is the same entity as everyone else.
Some of our members will class themselves as Christians, although most will class themselves as pagans. We do not see a conflict just unnecessary labels. We have complete tolerance to all other religions and expect others to be tolerant to us.
We do not say that women are superior in the eyes of god, but that we are all equal, and have absolute right individually to talk to the spirit by whatever means we choose, without interpreters or editing from anyone. We are most grateful to the spirit for allowing us the advice on the basis that we are still free to make our own mistakes and learn our own lessons, and therefore can choose to follow it or not.
